Yard Sale at Stornoway Crescent Public School
Do you feel over-run with stuff in your home that you no longer want or use?

Do you still have wedding presents lurking in your closet, which have never been out of their boxes?

Do you crave extra space in your home and/or garage?

Do you dislike hosting garage sales at your home because of poor turnout?

If your answer is yes to any of these questions, then a Community Yard sale is just for you!

What is a Community Yard Sale?

A Community Yard sale is a venue for people to get together to sell their items in one common place.  It’s like a garage sale, but instead of using your driveway, you rent a table alongside several other people.  It’s a wonderful way to sell your items to an extremely large audience.  The best part is…we do all the advertising for you!

A good home garage sale might attract 50 or 75 people, but a community yard sale attracts upwards of 300 or 400 people!  Even the best advertised home garage sales would never reach these attendance numbers.

Since our first sale in 2005 the Stornoway Community Yard sale has become an incredibly popular event.  We routinely rent out all of our available tables and attract literally hundreds of customers.  We have over 30 tables available for rent.  People, who rent tables, work their own table and take home 100% of their profit.  The only cost is the $30.00 table rental fee.

For avid garage-salers, the Stornoway Community Yard sale is one stop shopping.  It’s like hitting over 30 houses in one morning!

What else is available at the Stornoway Community Yard Sale?

In addition to finding great deals on pretty much anything you can think of, you can also join us for a fabulous BBQ lunch, or take home some yummy homemade baked goods made by our very own parent body.  Don’t hesitate to bring your children because we have an amazing kids carnival section where little ones can win great prizes.

Who benefits from the Stornoway Community Yard Sale?

The Stornoway Community Yard sale is a fundraiser for Stornoway Crescent Public School.  The school benefits from the table rental fees, as well as the money raised from the BBQ lunch and the bake sale.  You can feel good participating in the Stornoway Community Yard sale either as a vendor, or as a customer, because you will have helped to raise funds for our wonderful little school.
